Bleeding Cool weighs in on the Outhouse/DC Comics drama
The company will launch it’s own trashy comics news site on the back page of its comic books.
After The Beat published an article ripping off The Outhouse’s signature satirical style, The Outhouse has vowed to copy The Beat’s penchant for responsible, award-winning journalism.
Zechs
Zechs is the lord and master of The Toy Shed, Character Spotlight, and Cartoon Reviews. He’s also an aspiring comic book writer trying to get some of his works published on the Outhouse. If there’s any greater quality to Zechs, it’s that he’s an avid fan of comic book characters and would defend them to the bitter end against the companies that use them wrongly. Zechs walks the lonely path in Chicagoland area.
For our second profile, I’ve chosen our illustrious leader: BlueStreak. He’s the only one crazy enough to try and keep us all in line and pointed in the same direction (usually). Although he spends more time managing stuff around the site than writing these days, it’s worth catching his work, especially when he puts up an op/ed.
Christian Hoffer is the exasperated Abbott to the Outhouse’s Costello. When he’s not yelling at the Newsroom for upsetting readers or complaining to his wife about why the Internet is stupid, he sits in his dingy business office trying to find new ways to make the site earn money. Hoffer is also the only person in history stupid enough to moderate two comic book forums at once.
The Outhouse is a weird name and we can be a weird site, but we’ve been at this since 2006 and don’t plan on stopping anytime soon. You can find out more about us on our site, but we also thought to offer some writer profiles randomly on our blog as well. First up I went with Jude because 1. He has the most articles so far and 2. He does all the behind the scenes stuff so he can mess up everything if we aren’t nice to him.
Intrepid reporter Jude Terror is the Webmaster Supreme of OH! Entertainment and, along with the mysterious ThanosCopter, co-anchor of The Outhouse Newsroom, a crack team of snarky individuals dedicated to delivering irreverent comics and entertainment news to dozens of readers. Driven by a quest for vengeance, Jude Terror taught himself to program and joined The Outhouse, where he has spent the last five years helping to turn the site from a hive of scum and villainy into a hive of scum and villany with a front page. Jude Terror is married with three children, and lives in the San Francisco Bay Area, surrounded by liberals.
