Founded in 2006, The Outhouse has developed as an independent community of comic book fans with an unapologetically honest and outspoken opinion on comics and all aspects of geek culture.
We are not a corporate-backed megasite beholden to the interests of publishers and content creators through an incestuous trade of exclusives and talent access in exchange for unabashed promotion and five star reviews (though we are willing to be for the right price.)
The Outhouse is for geeks, by geeks.
Check out The Outhouse's perfect offering of tongue-in-cheek analysis, serious commentary, and unapologetic stances on comics and pop culture. Then join our community on the forums, facebook, twitter, or your favorite social media platform!
` The company sent out a teaser with the word INVITATION, so that’s obviously what’s going on.
Not content with taking over Vertigo’s slot as the “go to” publisher for great comics, Image Comics has reportedly decided to, finally, marry a comic book “news” website, thus solidifying themselves as a real mainstream publisher. Reading from Image’s E-harmony profile…
` Outhouse Webmaster Jude Terror, has never shied away from his juvenile delinquent past, once going so far as to admit that it wasn’t until early 2000 that he knew it was illegal to kill hobos for crank. Having, somehow, survived the 1990s Mr. Terror has grown (and grown) to become a reasonably responsible adult by raising a family a family of non-gingers and doing something professionally with computers… probably, I don’t really know.
All week long, Marvel Comics has been releasing a series of short, one-phrase teasers promoting announcements at their panels at New York Comic Con this October. The non-stop barrage of teasers has had bloggers scrambling to come up with witty things to say about them, pushing their skills to the utmost limits.
“CORPORATE, which features the team of Peter David and Carmine Di Giandomenico will be publicly offered at the Amazing X-Men & The Marvel Universe Panel,” quipped a battered and bloody sdsichero, reporter for The Outhouse, in an article yesterday reporting on four of the teasers. Obviously, the blogosphere was running out of ideas fast.
"Oh god!" Hero cried, collapsing into a heap on the floor. "Make it stop. Make it stop!"
