Founded in 2006, The Outhouse has developed as an independent community of comic book fans with an unapologetically honest and outspoken opinion on comics and all aspects of geek culture.
We are not a corporate-backed megasite beholden to the interests of publishers and content creators through an incestuous trade of exclusives and talent access in exchange for unabashed promotion and five star reviews (though we are willing to be for the right price.)
The Outhouse is for geeks, by geeks.
Check out The Outhouse's perfect offering of tongue-in-cheek analysis, serious commentary, and unapologetic stances on comics and pop culture. Then join our community on the forums, facebook, twitter, or your favorite social media platform!
Some upstart fanboy complaint blog called Publishers Weekly published an article today by Todd Allen, obviously a virginal shut-in with nothing better to do than obsess over DC comic book characters and continuity, which was little more than a hatchet job on the fine work that geniuses like Dan Didio and Bob Harras have been doing over at DC Comics. The article claims that DC “sales” are “declining,” and that the “sales band” of “top teir titles” is also “dropping” “rapidly.”
